About The Role
The IT Procurement Team is part of Business Systems (IT) and works closely with Supplier Owners to maximise opportunities and deliver value through 3rd party relationships & contracts. 

This position is a great opportunity for the right person to be part of an exciting IT Procurement Team that is at the forefront of maximising value from 3rd party relationships. Reporting into the IT Procurement Manager, this is a highly accountable role focusing on working with Supplier Owners on vendor relationships, contract and supplier performance of key suppliers.

Working closely with the team & Supplier Owners you will have responsibility for;
  • Collaborate with Supplier Owner to deliver the Supplier Management agenda including undertaking account & service review meetings with to ensure service and contractual obligations are aligned and to support the development of strong & beneficial partnerships.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement of customer satisfaction, service performance quality and costs through in-life contract management.
  • Conducting vendor/market intelligence gathering activities to be highly aware of the suppliers future plans, financial performance and market positioning.
  • Identify, manage and minimise/mitigate supplier and contractual risk through in-life contract management activities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of supplier IT roadmaps to assess how they closely align to the MO Product Roadmaps & recommend and drive actions where appropriate.
  • Operating as the Procurement single point of contact for the Product Team(s) and advise customers on supplier contract/commercial negotiations.
  • Lead the development of vendor specific management/negotiation plans. 
  • Building, maintaining and developing excellent relationships with IT suppliers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Ongoing review of existing IT contracts and services and delivery of renewals.
  • Lead the procurement of new services (tender process, negotiating with suppliers, drafting contracts and schedules) demonstrating commerciality and value for money.
About You
You will have gained the following skills/experience:
  • You are experienced in IT Procurement or IT Vendor Manager roles with extensive experience in managing IT suppliers, contract administration and supplier contract negotiation. 
  • You’ll have an excellent understanding of different commercial models used in IT Procurement contracts. 
  • You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to operate well in an Agile delivery environment and part of a Product Team.
  • A self-motivated, hands-on, people focused supplier manager who can drive lasting change through effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Enthusiastic in maintaining industry awareness of trends in supplier management.
  • Experience with negotiating contracts and maximising the value returned to IT.
  • You have a keen interest in IT Procurement and want to be part of an ambitious and high performing team.
Minimum Criteria
  • You’ve operated in a similar role in the past or present.
  • Negotiating XaaS and general technology contracts with awareness of key risks and terms. 
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, organisational and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT Procurement or IT Vendor Manager roles.
  • Experience of managing Tier 1 IT suppliers.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing Vendor Management processes.
  • Working in a matrix management environment.
  • ITIL or CIPS qualification or working towards this (desirable).
