About The Role
A varied and technical role for an experienced QA Analyst, who is capable of working independently or as part of an Agile (SCRUM) team, and who will be responsible for a full breadth of test activities to ensure application changes are fully tested at all levels before release into UAT and Production environments. The role will be mainly project based and the successful applicant will be open to new test processes and be hands-on in system testing as well as demonstrating an attitude of ownership and accountability. The role will require working closely with other disciplines such as development and business analysis to ensure quality is built into the entire SDLC from start to finish.
Responsibilities include:
  • To be responsible for ensuring all test related tasks within a Scrum team are completed to a high standard
  • To produce efficient and accurate test cases utilising effective testing techniques to ensure all critical functionality is effectively tested
  • To produce QA artefacts such as: Test Approach, Test Scripts, Test Execution Reports etc.
  • To participate in regular peer reviews of QA artefacts and processes
  • Ability to analyse project deliverables from a testing perspective and to accurately estimate timelines
  • To participate in process improvement, to actively challenge current process and to support and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • To become a subject matter expert on company applications and to effectively share that knowledge, as appropriate to other team members
  • Proactively manage issues to resolution and/or agreement
About You
You will have gained the following experience/skills:

  • Strong demonstrable SQL Skills
  • Tester with experience of business critical web and desktop applications
  • Highly motivated with a desire to advance within QA and the wider Business Systems arena
  • Experience of Risk Based Testing


  • Competent with ETL testing and validating multiple Source databases to Target data warehouse tables
  • Proficient with Data warehouse concepts and models
  • Demonstrable, working knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Undergraduate degree in a related IT discipline
  • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer (or similar) an advantage
  • Familiar with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and understanding interfaces
  • Proficient with using OBIEE and validating subject areas and reports
  • Experience of cloud architecture and security testing
  • Familiar with the concepts in the test automation pyramid
  • ISEB Software Testing Foundation (or ISTQB equivalent)
