About The Role
The role will sit within the newly expanded Economic Capital Team within the Risk Division of Motability Operations, responsible for operating and developing the internal Economic Capital model and data use within Asset Risk.

Reporting into the Economic Capital Manager, key responsibilities include:
  • Play a key role in researching and developing how new techniques and tools can be applied to data to support the BAU and project objectives of Asset Risk and Pricing
  • Lead the development and use of data and tools to support the internal Economic Capital model
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure an agreed and consistent approach to the development and implementation of appropriate new data and tools, specifically Business Systems and the legacy decommissioning roadmap
  • Ensure the use of data and tools is consistent with the required methodological governance of Asset Risk and well documented
  • Support the processes of pilots and proof of concept of delivery with internal stakeholders and engage with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Embed new tools through role modelling, training and mentoring of members of the wider Asset Risk team, including Pricing and Insurance
  • Support long term projects within Asset Risk and the wider business involving internal and external parties around governance and data management
About You

You will have gained the following experience/skills:

  • Strong degree in computer science, engineering, physics, actuarial science, statistics or mathematics based equivalent
  • Advanced data manipulation or experience of managing large scale data sets within an analytical function
  • Advanced experience of commercial data science or analytics software (e.g. Python, R, SAS, etc)
  • Experience of regulatory compliance, data governance strategy, information management strategy, DG best practices and principles
  • Experience of leading and implementing change
  • Strong communication and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Positive attitude who wants to play a key role in a changing environment
