About The Role
0.6 FTE (21 hours per week). Specific days or hours to be agreed.
 
We are looking a Legal Compliance Advisor to join our Legal Compliance Team in London. 

Reporting into the In House Solicitor & Company Secretary and working closely with the Senior Legal Paralegal and Compliance Advisor, the key responsibility of this role is to support the business’ obligation to comply with the Consumer Credit Act and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority. Key responsibilities as follows:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business’ FCA compliance obligations
  • Apply knowledge of the business’ contract hire terms and conditions and where necessary, draft default and termination notices in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Be a point of contact for compliance queries from the business
  • Assist with the implementation of the Compliance Monitoring Program
  • Respond and collate Subject Access Data RequestsConsider and respond to complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service
  • Complete ad hoc compliance tasks as requested by the legal team, including assisting in the filing and recording of contractual documentation
About You
You will have gained the following experience/skills:
  • You love attention to detail and are very comfortable working to deadlines
  • Experience of using your judgment when applying terms and conditions or compliance rules or regulations
  • You enjoy working within a close knit team and providing ad hoc support as and when required
You will have gained the following minimum experience:
  • Experience within the legal and/or compliance field
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines
