About The Role
The key responsibility of this role is to plan and deliver MO IT Infrastructure Sustainability & Security Projects, adhering to Motability Operations quality expectations, as per agreed timelines, and within agreed budget and project tolerances. 

Working closely with the Sustainability Programme Manager you will have responsibility for:
  • Successful project delivery to time, cost and quality
  • Creating, managing and motivating the combined internal and external project team(s), including consultants and stakeholders, to ensure effective delivery in accordance with the project objectives
  • Appraising delivery and project outcomes in order to improve project management processes and achieve overall increased stakeholder satisfaction through best practice and lessons learnt
  • Working with project owners to define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle
  • Production of agreed artefacts and signed off documents at the relevant points within the project(s)
  • Providing support to the overall programme of work and to deputise for the programme manager when required
  • Mentoring and supporting members of the team

    • You have experience of management and delivery of technical projects from initiation through to closure. You’ll have demonstrable experience of having total ownership of projects including managing finances and third parties
    • Enjoy having autonomy for the delivery of your projects whilst also contributing to the success of the wider programme through team work and supporting the overall programme delivery
    • You will be proactive, diligent with excellent attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and drive the teams forward
    • Desire to engage with stakeholder at all levels to build strong and enduring relationships to affect positive outcomes
    • You will have an interest in IT infrastructure and project management delivery
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, project, programme and portfolio management and associated processes and practices
    • Be a self-starter with the ability to self-manage
    • You will have the ability to demonstrate pragmatism & resilience in the face of shifting priorities, demands and timelines
    • You will be someone who can demonstrate  critical thinking, problem solving, planning and organising skills.
    Mandatory
    • Demonstrable experience working in an IT environment and experience of managing infrastructure projects
    • Proven experience within a structured framework leading delivery of projects
    • Proven experience of managing project finances including tracking and planning actuals against forecast
    • Experience of dependency management
    • Experience at working both in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and independently
    • Proven stakeholder management
    • Experience of working in a matrix management environment
    • Experience of managing multiple 3rd party vendors and working effectively with 3rd party PMs
    • Experience in the identification, assessment and management of risks
    • Strong MS Office Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
