About The Role
We are looking for a passionate, hands-on cloud platform engineer to play a key role in the development, support and continual improvement of our robust, automated cloud platform service. Reporting into the Technical Delivery Lead, this role will work closely with application and development teams to ensure that the platform continuously supports business needs. This is a great opportunity for someone with the technical aptitude, passion and drive to help support and improve cloud infrastructure services with focus on using the latest methodologies and technologies.

You will be part of the Platform Engineering team within our IT Operations function delivering a robust and scalable platform as a service.

About You
You will have gained the following skills/experience:
 
Mandatory
  • Experience of RHEL CLI
  • Hands on experience of AWS Services i.e. EC2, SES,SNS,S3,Route53,KCM,VPC
  • Automating provision (IaC) of AWS services using Terraform and/or Cloud Formation
  • Scripting with one or more of the following: Java, Python, PowerShell
  • Automating delivery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS Pipeline)
  • Experience of high scale application deployments and system distributions
  • Code Repository Management (e.g. GitHub, Subversion, Bitbucket)
  • Experience with container technologies using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Working with development methodologies; Agile, Scrum
  • Exposure of Infrastructure Management and Data Migration
  • Experience with Cloud best practices and architecture
  • Familiarity of RedHat OpenShift
  • Familiarity with collaboration suites i.e. Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
  • Has a DevOps mind-set for automation
