About The Role
We are looking for a passionate, motivated, focussed individual to join a team of highly technical network engineers. You will play a key role in the development of our cloud delivered SASE network architecture and continual improvement of secure connectivity solutions spanning our hybrid environment.

This role, reporting to the Technical Delivery Lead for Network Engineering, requires working closely with stakeholder, project, support and engineering groups to ensure our connectivity solutions support business needs as well as fulfilling core network and security requirements.

With significant investment in cloud infrastructure and automation over recent years this is a great opportunity to use your experience of network, security, infrastructure as code and cloud-based technologies to help the organisation continue the transition away from existing on-premise solutions using the latest methodologies, technologies and automation.

About You
You will have gained the following experience:
  • You will either come from a strong network / security background with some recent exposure to Linux / cloud / automation and a desire to learn more or have Linux / cloud / automation / Infrastructure as code engineering experience and a desire to learn all things network and security.
  • You are an enthusiastic, ambitious, hardworking individual, with broad ranging skills and experience within enterprise network security, cloud services and automation.
  • You are interested in and keep abreast of the latest public cloud developments, connectivity solutions and security trends.
  • You demonstrate pragmatism & resilience in the face of shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • You can comfortably handle multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • You are self-motivated, effectively managing your work with determination to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • You demonstrate logical planning and organising skills
  • You are keen to embrace and uphold a culture of collaboration & communication
Minimum criteria:
  • Core network skills (i.e. TCP/IP, DNS, Packet Capture, Routing protocols; BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of AWS Networking services (i.e. VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, WAF, NACL, SG, etc.)
  • Some experience of Infrastructure as Code automation tools and techniques (i.e. Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python etc)
  • Working with agile development methodologies
  • Preferably AWS / Linux and/or Palo Alto / CISCO Certified
  • Familiar with firewall security policy management using Palo Alto, Panorama, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud
  • Exposure towards cloud strategy, architecture & best practices
  • Understanding of Zero-Trust Security model
  • Understanding of automation and software defined networking
  • Experience of managing multiple vendors, managed service providers and working effectively with third parties
  • Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management.
