About The Role
Part Time - 4 days
Reporting to the Vehicle Remarketing (VRM) Digital Development Manager, this role will support the development and implementation of our digital road map by building new solutions and supporting existing systems.

You will work closely with the Digital Development Manager and external development partners to produce well-designed and implemented technical solutions to business problems across VRM, with input at all stages from inception to test and deployment.

You will collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to develop our automated marketing and personalisation capabilities and analytics tracking so the success of our marketing initiatives can be measured effectively.

You will work with stakeholders to improve the transferability, usage and integration of VRM data across our systems.

Working with our IT Security and Risk departments, you will adopt best practice when developing solutions, ensuring we adopt the appropriate security measures and mitigate risks where possible.

You will be willing to help support other VRM system related issues and work with our IT team and our digital partners when problems arise. 

This role offers flexibility to work a 4-day working week or reduced hours across 5 days.

While usually based in our Bristol offices, the team are currently working remotely. 

About You
This role is perfect for a collaborative, pragmatic and commercially-interested junior-to-mid-level developer, who is comfortable working with stakeholders with both technical and non-technical backgrounds. You should be an effective communicator, who is able to explain technical solutions in a way that is understandable by all involved in projects.

This is a small team, so you must be self-reliant and able to work independently on projects to deliver value and improve processes for your colleagues across the division.

You will be driven to continuously improve your own skills, be interested in the latest technology and trends, and actively seek to expand your knowledge and apply the latest technical innovations.

You will be knowledgeable of a “full-stack” of web development tools, but we do not expect you to be a front-end HTML/CSS wizard, nor do you need to be a hardcore DBA. Most of your work will be centred on systems integration, internal tooling, measurement, analytics and dashboarding data. 

You will be comfortable working on a variety of small projects focusing on business processes and improvements. You may be working on different projects throughout each day, so you must be comfortable with context-switching.

Where issues or business requirements arise, you should be able to learn new skills quickly and be comfortable dealing with a wide variety of technical issues.
Minimum criteria:
  • Experience working with C#, ASP.NET, REST APIs, SQL, HTML, and any JavaScript framework/libraries
  • Experience working with Azure (or other cloud platforms)
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs or services
  • Experience of Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery
  • Experience of working in an agile (Kanban) environment
  • Experience of web-security principles and standards (e.g. OWASP)
  • Advantageous - Any experience with Google Analytics
  • Advantageous - Any experience with Umbraco CMS
  • Advantageous - Any experience with Business Intelligence tool
  • Advantageous - Any experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
