This position is a great opportunity for the right person to be part of an IT team that is at the forefront of driving IT implementations across a range of technologies including cloud and digital. This is a key role in the Business Systems (IT) department focused on leading the delivery of our IT Roadmap, through providing effective planning mechanisms and strategic alignment.

You will be part of the IT Portfolio & PMO Team reporting to the Portfolio Manager; however, you will be assigned to the Digital Infrastructure Programme.
 
Working closely with the Digital Infrastructure Programme Manager and wider portfolio team you will have responsibility for:
  • Facilitating software application migration planning and scheduling workshops with relevant stakeholders 
  • Developing and maintaining the master migration schedule working with stakeholders across multiple workstreams
  • Ensuring dependencies are clearly identified and tracked in the master migration schedule
  • Proactively managing the cross-programme dependency management process and highlighting any project, programme and portfolio impacts / implications
  • Proactively managing changes to milestones changes in project scope, identify potential issues and devising contingency plans
  • Developing reporting artefacts (dashboard, etc) to ensure stakeholders have up to date and accurate view of software application migrations
  • Collaborating with the migration project manager to oversee and report on migration status
About You
You will have gained the following experience/skills:
  • You’ll have experience and love working within a PMO and a multi layered portfolio environment (Project, Programme and Product Teams)
  • You’ll love demonstrating your ability to identify and understand issues & risks, summarise key concerns and provide pragmatic solutions 
  • You’ll have the ability to keep up with technical discussions and translate plans accordingly 
  • You’ll have the ability to remain organised whilst multi-tasking and adapting to evolving priorities and pace. 
  • You love critical path analysis, forecasting, problem solving, planning and organising skills. 
  • You’ll be proactive and able to manage your own workload
  • You’ll be thorough with great attention to detail.
  • You will be a strong and proven influencer and communicator with stakeholders on all levels
  • You will have the ability to look ahead, and have a tangible view of the delivery in the medium to long term
  • You’ll have extensive knowledge and experience in the use of project management scheduling tools, such as, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.
  • You’ll demonstrate In-depth knowledge of waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies 
Minimum Criteria
  • Understanding of Portfolio Management Programme / Project deliveries using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects
  • Knowledge of PMO concepts and processes
  • Proven understanding of the inter-relationship between plans, milestones, resources, change control, risks, issues, finances and benefits management
  • Strong project planning and tracking using MS Project and other PPM software
  • Understanding of programmes within a large and complex IT environment
  • Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills for reports and presentations
  • Facilitating large workshops / meetings
  • Prince 2, PMP Certification or other project management certifications
  • Project scheduling tool (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc) certification 
  • Agile Certification
  • Confluence
  • AWS entry level cloud certification  
  • Cloud migration experience
