About The Role
To support the management of Motability Operations’ (MO’s) market risks associated with future vehicle residual values and maintenance spends. To maintain and develop the supporting databases and to provide management reports and analysis of data concerning the UK economy, new and used car markets, maintenance spends, and MO disposals. To contribute to the development and implementation of MO’s statistically based forecasting processes and risk management techniques.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide in-depth analysis of the UK economy and factors influencing the car industry
  • Manage, maintain, and improve in house databases and drive the development of monthly update processes and reporting
  • Clearly present insightful analysis within Asset Risk Review Group meetings
  • Take an active role in development projects of the statistically based residual value and maintenance forecasting processes
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with internal teams and external business contacts
  • Perform ad hoc analysis in support of the Asset Risk Analysts and the wider business

About You

Minimium Criteria
  • Graduate in a discipline with a significant quantitative component, a solid understanding of key economic principles and of core mathematics and statistics principles
  • Effective communicator who can confidently present and explain technical subjects to non-technical audiences
  • Technical skills: MS Office with advanced Excel (and VBA) and Access. OxMetrics and SQL would be advantageous
  • Experience with Tableau & Tableau Prep would also be desirableExperience of manipulating and analysing large datasets, data visualisation, and statistical modelling
